Hello! Today I have a fun little bubble gum treat holder project to share with you!
I wanted to create a treat holder for the bubble gum pack that only used 1 sheet of 6x6 paper. I chose to use the Bubbles Galore collection from the August 2020 Scrapping for Less Flavor of the Month Kit. To get a better idea of how to make this, you can watch the full process video HERE.
Start with your 6x6 piece of patterned paper and trim it at 4 inches. You will now have one piece that is 4x6 inches and one that is 2x6 inches. Trim the 2x6 inch piece down to 2x4.5 inches.
Take the 4x6 inch piece and score it at 2 3/4 inches and again at 3 1/4 inches. This creates a little folder that will be the outside of our treat holder.
For the 2x4.5 inch piece, you'll need to score from side to side at 1/2, 1, 3 1/2 and 4 inches. Then turn the piece and score up from the bottom at 1/2 and 1 inch. You'll have a set of 4 squares at each of the bottom corners. Trim this off to allow the pocket to fold up cleaner.
Now you can adhere your pocket to the inside of the folder! I used some Art Glitter Glue for this. Then you can embellish the outside. I added some white ribbon similar to what originally came in my August kit to hold the folder closed. Then I finished it off with some ephemera from the Bubbles Galore collection.
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you enjoyed this cute little treat holder! You could use any type of gum and use it as a stocking stuffer at Christmas time as well.
Have a crafty day!
